Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the season of Lent, a time when we prepare for Easter by acts of fasting, repentance, prayer, and giving.
At our Drive-Thru Ashes experience, the minister will lightly rub the sign of the cross with ashes onto the foreheads of worshipers. Historically, ashes signified purification and sorrow for sins. The ash cross on the forehead is an outward sign of our sorrow and repentance for sins.
Our Ash Wednesday worship service will take place online only at 6PM on Facebook, YouTube, and our website (available for replay on YouTube anytime thereafter).
