Thank You for Our Testimonies

Posted by Lucinda S. Sutton on December 13, 2025

Great is our Father who gave us His Son
Reaching down to connect with us

All knowing and loving God
The provider and sustainer of all
In You we place our faith, trust and love
That you will provide sufficient grace
Until we meet face to face
Determined to build your kingdom on earth
Everlasting and eternal Father

When we look to God for strength, grace, and understanding, we’ll be rewarded with that strength, grace, and understanding.

One of our daughters was born with cerebral palsy. She grew independent and strong. She drove her own car, graduated college, and 12 years ago moved thousands of miles from her family on her own. She has made her own home, navigating around our nation’s capitol every day in her wheelchair. She has remained steadfast in her faith—the faith God gave her to say, “I can do it.”

Dear God,

Thank you for our church, pastors, staff, and beautiful music.

I am grateful for all the church does for our community.

Thank you for a husband of 53 years that never left my side when I had back surgery except to go to Panera to get me chicken soup. Thank you for him trying so hard to make life easier for me since my shoulder and knee are compromised. Thank you that he doesn’t mind whatever I do for others. Thank you that he waits patiently while I run in to do for others. Thank you that Steve is a fine, caring, Christian man.

Thank you most of all for your son, Jesus.

Reflect & Respond

  • What is your favorite Christmas story (besides the Bible)? What do you like about it?
  • Whose testimony has had a powerful impact on your life?
  • What has God done for you that you're excited to share with someone else?
