New On-Site Protocols Re: Masks and More

05.17.21 | Stories | by Lucinda S. Sutton

In case you missed it, the CDC issued new guidance last week for indoor gatherings. Throughout the pandemic, we have been striving to make the best and most informed decisions regarding our protocols in accordance with guidance such as this. Therefore, the following protocols will be effective THIS Sunday, 5/23, in worship (and immediately for all other church events and activities):

  • Persons who are fully vaccinated (which means 2 weeks after your final vaccine dose) are not required to wear masks indoors or out, nor to practice social distancing.
  • Persons who are NOT fully vaccinated should continue to wear masks indoors and practice social distancing as per the CDC.
  • Anyone is still welcome to wear masks and social distance yourselves on site in accordance with your own comfort levels.
  • We will open up all pews to be used during both services.
  • We will have congregational singing at both services.
  • We will continue to offer online services and participation options as appropriate and needed.
  • We will continue to evaluate other aspects of service over time and make adjustments as needed.
  • We have already made changes to Sunday School effective yesterday. If you missed it, check the e-mail that went out on Thursday.

Thank you all for your continued patience and efforts to love one another through safety and consideration. We look forward to seeing you on site or online this Sunday!
